What you’ll do.
Roofing is honest work, and we treat it that way. At The Light Group USA, our installation crews put a roof over homeowners in 20+ states, the same families trusting us with solar, storage, HVAC, and home improvement. That trust starts at the roofline. We back every job with a 25-year warranty and a "$0 upfront" promise to homeowners, which means the work has to be right the first time. We're looking for roofers who take pride in a clean tear-off, a tight underlayment, and shingles that lay flat and true. Whether you've been on roofs for a decade or you're hungry to learn the trade the right way, you'll get paid training, the gear to stay safe, and a clear path to lead your own crew. This is a career, not just a season.
Tear-off and prep
Strip old shingles, felt, and flashing down to a clean deck. Inspect for rot or soft spots, keep the site organized, and protect the homeowner's property like it's your own.
Underlayment and waterproofing
Lay synthetic underlayment and ice-and-water shield correctly, with the right overlaps and fasteners. This is the layer that keeps water out, and you'll treat it that way.
Shingle and material installation
Install shingles, ridge caps, and accessories to manufacturer spec and code, with straight lines and consistent exposure. Quality you'd be proud to put your name on.
Flashing and detail work
Cut and set flashing around valleys, chimneys, vents, and walls. The details are where roofs leak or last, and you'll make them last.
Safety on every roof
Set up and use fall protection, harnesses, anchors, and ladders the right way, every single time. We don't cut corners on heights, ever.
Job-site quality and cleanup
Run magnetic sweeps for nails, haul debris, and leave every property cleaner than you found it. A finished roof and a spotless yard are both part of the job.
Crew communication
Coordinate with your lead and teammates, flag issues early, and help keep the install on schedule so the homeowner gets the roof they were promised.
What your day looks like.
Morning safety briefing with the crew, then gear up: harnesses checked, ladders set, materials staged on the roof.
Start the tear-off, clear the deck, and inspect for any damage that needs to be called out before new material goes down.
Roll out underlayment and set flashing around the tricky spots, valleys, chimneys, and vents, where craftsmanship really shows.
Lay shingles in clean, straight courses with the crew, keeping pace without sacrificing quality.
Final walk-through with your lead, magnetic nail sweep, and full cleanup so the homeowner comes home to a finished roof and a clean yard.
Clock out knowing you built something that'll protect a family through storms for decades.

Room to grow.
Roofing at The Light Group USA is a trade you can grow in. Start as an installer, master tear-off, underlayment, shingles, and flashing, and prove you can deliver quality work safely. From there, step up to a senior installer, then crew lead running your own team, and into foreman or installation manager roles overseeing jobs across your area. As one of the country's growing solar, storage, roofing, and HVAC companies, we're expanding nationwide, which means more crews, more leadership openings, and more room for ambitious roofers to build a real career. The people who lead our crews started exactly where you will.
Good to know.
Experience helps, but it's not required. We offer paid training and will teach the right person the trade from the ground up, tear-off, underlayment, shingles, flashing, and safety. What we really need is reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn it the right way.
We're hiring roofing installers nationwide and serve homeowners in 20+ states across America. There's a strong chance we're installing near you. Apply and we'll connect you with crews working in your area.
We pay at the top of the roofing industry, with steady hours and overtime when it's available. We don't promise unrealistic numbers, but we do promise pay that reflects skilled, safe, quality work, plus real benefits.
Safety is non-negotiable here. You'll be trained on and provided with proper fall protection, harnesses, and equipment, and we never pressure crews to skip a safety step. If working at heights concerns you, we'll make sure you're trained and confident before you're on a steep roof.
We aim to keep our crews working year-round. Roofs need replacing in every season and every climate across the country, so for reliable roofers who show up, there's steady work and a long-term career path here, not just a busy season.
