The role

What you’ll do.

Roofing Sales at The Light Group USA is a field role for closers who'd rather earn off results than punch a clock. You work storm-affected neighborhoods in your area, inspect roofs for hail and wind damage, and guide homeowners through the insurance claim that pays for their replacement. We back you with paid training, a Licensed & Insured brand that homeowners across the country actually trust, and a $0-upfront offer with a 25-year warranty that makes the \"yes\" easy. You're not selling a product nobody asked for — you're helping families fix real damage with money they're already owed.

Canvass storm-hit neighborhoods

After a hail or wind event, you work the affected areas in your market — knocking doors, setting free roof inspections, and starting real conversations with homeowners about damage they may not even know they have.

Inspect roofs and document damage

Climb up (or fly a drone) and find hail bruising, wind-lifted shingles, soft spots, and leak sources. You photograph everything and measure the roof with apps like EagleView so the claim is airtight.

Build and explain the insurance claim

Help the homeowner file with their carrier, set realistic expectations on deductible and coverage, and translate confusing insurance language into a simple plan they understand.

Meet the adjuster on the roof

You're there when the insurance adjuster inspects — walking the damage with them, pointing out what they might miss, and advocating so the homeowner gets a fair, full scope of work.

Present the offer and close

Walk the homeowner through The Light Group's $0-upfront, 25-year-warranty, Licensed & Insured offer, handle objections honestly, and get the contract signed so the job moves to production.

Own your pipeline in the CRM

Track every door, inspection, claim, and signed job in the CRM (AccuLynx / RoofLink style). Your follow-up discipline is what turns a 'maybe' into a closed roof three weeks later.

Hand off clean to the build crew

Coordinate material, color, and install date with production, then stay the homeowner's point of contact through completion so the review at the end is a 5-star one.

A day in the life

What your day looks like.

1

Morning huddle: review yesterday's numbers, the latest storm map, and which neighborhoods are hot this week

2

Mid-morning: knock doors and run free inspections — up on the roof with a camera, documenting hail and wind damage

3

Midday: sit at kitchen tables, file claims with homeowners, and explain how the deductible-only path to a new roof works

4

Afternoon: meet an insurance adjuster on a roof you inspected last week and walk the damage with them

5

Late afternoon: present approved scopes, sign contracts, and lock in colors and install dates with production

6

Evening wrap: update every lead in the CRM and line up tomorrow's appointments

Why The Light Group

Why join us.

Competitive base + uncapped commission

You get a base to stay steady plus commission on every roof you close — with no cap. Top performers earn at the top of the industry, and storm season is when it compounds.

Paid, real training

We don't throw you to the wolves. You get paid training on inspections, insurance claims, adjuster meetings, and objection handling, plus ongoing coaching from a sales leader who's done it.

A brand homeowners trust

You sell for a Licensed & Insured company with 4.9 stars, 60+ Google reviews, a 25-year warranty, and a $0-upfront offer. The credibility is already built — you just have to show up and serve.

Storms everywhere = endless demand

Hail, wind, and severe storms hit communities across the country every single year. The work doesn't run out — thousands of roofs nationwide need a rep who'll fight for the homeowner.

Own your income and your schedule

Your effort is the cap. The more doors you knock and roofs you close, the more you make — and you run your own day in the field.

A team that wins together

You're surrounded by reps and a leader who actually want you to hit your number. We share what works, ride along, and celebrate closed jobs.

Where this leads

Room to grow.

Most reps start in the field learning the full cycle — knock, inspect, claim, close. Once you're consistently closing, you can grow into a Senior Rep with the best territories and bigger commission splits, then into Team Lead, training and riding along with new hires. From there the path opens to Sales Manager and Director of Sales — running your own crew, owning a region's number, and earning off the team you build. Because The Light Group also does solar, energy storage, HVAC, and home improvement, strong closers can cross-train into other lines and build a year-round book instead of riding only the storm season. We hire nationwide and promote from within, so wherever you are in the country, the ladder is the same: produce, lead, and your title and income climb together.

Questions

Good to know.

No. We hire for grit and coachability and train the rest — inspections, insurance claims, adjuster meetings, and closing. Prior door-to-door, outside sales, construction, or adjusting experience is a plus, not a requirement.

It's a competitive base plus uncapped commission on every roof you close. There's no income ceiling — your earnings track your effort and your close rate. Top performers earn at the top of the industry, and storm season is where it stacks up fast. We'll walk you through the full structure in your interview.

You help homeowners file a claim for storm damage, set expectations on their deductible, and meet the insurance adjuster on the roof to advocate for a fair, full scope. We train you on all of it — you won't be guessing.

It's in the field. You'll be knocking doors, climbing ladders, inspecting roofs, and sitting at kitchen tables with homeowners. If you want to be outside, run your own day, and earn off results, this is it.

We hire roofing sales reps nationwide and you'll work storm-affected neighborhoods in your area — wherever the latest hail and wind events created demand. You serve homeowners locally while selling for a company that operates across the country.
